How Can i Import the files to CAD MEP?
It would be very helpful if we get a parametric model of Tap of Boxes, Cable End Boxes, etc. like the standard parts available in the BIM library.
Hi Safdar,
we are working on providing those models of Tap boxes. they should become available later this year. Our cable end boxes are already included in the current offering.
Is there any easy way to generate the parts list from BIM model that contains tag number and part number of each part?
At present, we are running a dynamo script to combine several parameters to get tag number and part number. It would be better if the family has a single parameter for part number and tag number separately which get updated as the dimensions change.
Hi Safdar,
We are also using Dynamo to generate the part numbers and tags etc. We would run this for you on your project if you would like to share with our team – please get in touch with myself – colum.davison@e-i-en.com
Hi,
Thank you for the valuable content. However, I would like to know if there are parameters that could enhance the user experience to create a parts list or schedule which is rather tedious in the native CAD Duct.
Running a Dynamo script to align all the parameters in the element family to get a meaningful result seems a very viable option but usually takes time and creativity for the user to code in the first place.
Hi Ali,
we have a dynamo script that does exactly what you describe. We can run this for you if you would like to share your project with our team. Please contact colum.davison@e-i-eng.com
First of all thank you very much for your kind efforts regrading BIM
Secondly we want to know what version of CAD we should install to run BIM
Hi Salman,
our BIM content is suitable for REVIT.
We also can provide Fabrication CADmep libraries if you prefer using ACAD for your projects
Video and sound keeps failing
Hi Gregory,
Im sorry to hear you are having technical difficulties. Please try and refresh your browser. We can share it with you directly if you wish
