3D CAD Technician

Responsibilities: 

Reporting directly to Company Directors as part of the Research and Development team your role will involve the preparation of 3D models and manufacturing drawings pertaining to Busbar trunking and Electrical switchgear manufacture and installation.

Essential Qualifications and Experience: 

• The candidate must have an academic qualification related to the post such as a Certified Solid Works Professional, City & Guilds Level 3 in CAD or equivalent.                                
• Work experience in a 3D package such as Solid Works or Pro E with proficiency in AutoCAD, both 2D and 3D.  
• Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Standards is necessary.
•  A sound understanding of manufacturing processes, especially Injection Moulding and Sheet Metal Fabrication.

Desirable: 

• Previous experience within a manufacturing / electrical engineering environment.
• Experience with Visual Basics, Illustrator and Photoshop.

 Able to clearly demonstrate their CAD ability through a portfolio of work and/or past industrial experience
